About Me

I am co-founder and director of The Empathy Lab, and an independent researcher with an M.Phil in Information Technology and a B.A. in Anthropology and Archaeology. With over a decade of experience in human-centred design and research, my work is grounded in anthropological inquiry and informed by interests in psychology, social history, and historical archaeology. Central to it is a focus on human perception, problem-solving, and the cultural and cognitive systems that shape lived experience.

The Empathy Lab

As a UX/UI designer, I have held held design and management roles across e-commerce, finance, education, and the social impact sector. My approach to digital product design is driven by advocacy for accessibility and inclusivity, informed by deep research into how people interact with technology and systems.

As a cellist and musician, I have performed extensively in South Africa and abroad. Although I am classically trained, my musical interests are now largely experimental, electronic and improvisatory. I am a founding member of the Goldfox duo, The Night Light Collective and Betwixt Music.
